The forum is now a lot tougher on spam

I stayed up all night last night tweaking the forums so this site doesn't get slammed by spam like it has in the past month. In all, I must have deleted roughly 300 spam messages. I have implemented more anti-spam measures, and I'm confident that this forum won't have the same spam problems that it has had. I made stricter rules for posting and created a spam monitoring center, so I can respond to potential spam a lot faster.

I'm sorry to everyone who has had to put up with the insane amount of spam on this site. I'll make sure this never happens again.

My link filtering was broken before, denying people who didn't have links in their text. I fixed that so if you couldn't post in the last few hours try again.

Excellent work! I keep checking back and I had noticed the volume of spam was pretty much out of control.

How are updates to hottnotes coming? I haven't seen any activity in quite a while so its good to know you're still around, heh

The next hott notes is still coming along, but its been slow going. I have a part-time job competing for my time, so things have been hectic. Don't worry though, next semester, my last, will be pretty slack and I'll have some more time to focus on hottnotes. Sorry guys. I hope you can be patient with me. I should be able to complete a serious amount of work by late February.
