REALLY NEED AN AUTO-RESIZE FEATURE

Any chance of getting an auto-resize feature on the notes?

Say you create a note and center the text. The size of the note is too big and takes up a lot of space, so you manually adjust the shape of the note so to have the text wordwrap a certain way. Then, keeping the current way the text wraps, an auto-resize feature would then shrink the outside of the note to fit the outer borders of the current text shape.

Am I making any sense to anyone? Sort of explaining what the old Magic Notes 3 used to do (and doesn't do anymore for some reason).

I think this is a good idea, and an idea I am considering for the next version of hott notes. The way I was thinking of implementing it is to have the text autosize to fit the size of the note rather than the note autosizing to the text size.

As far as spam, I've upgraded the forums and deleted all spam postings/accounts, so hopefully this forum will be much more useful.

I was thinking the total opposite. I would like the note to shrink to fit the text so it would take up less visual space on the desktop. I guess I'm not relaying my idea clearly enough. :S Sorry. I'll see if I can dig up the old software I had and see if I can get it working... maybe get a vidcap of the mechanics of what I'm talking about.

Nah, I understood what you were thinking, I just wanted to compare a feature that was similar as far as eliminating wasted space. I think the best option would be to have a combination of the two. It would be great if the note grew/shrank when you enter new text or delete text (as you described), but if the user grabs an edge of the note to resize it, it would resize the text to match the new size.

Any info on the feature in Magic Notes would be helpful. Thanks!

I like the grow/shrink idea, as long as one could set the width of the note. Eliminating the 'white space' at the bottom of a note is a must though.

I have made an example video of the other program's features. Do you have an email I could send it to? If so, what media format would you like it as? .flv, .mpg, .avi, etc...

Dude, you really need to get a "captcha" plugin for your forums. It'll reduce a LOT of your automated spam. -or- get a new forum.

Here is another suggestion which may not be necessary if you do the autosize text feature. I love the scrollbar on the notes when they aren't being edited, but it would also be nice to have these scrollbars when they ARE being edited. Otherwise we have to select text and drag the mouse up or down to scroll through the text of the note.

I've also noticed that some of my notes have their Text Size changed from what I have them set to - this happens when I close hott notes and re-open.
